When and where the 2026 NBA Draft airs

The NBA Draft is a two-night event. Round 1 (Wednesday night, 8 pm ET): airs on ABC and ESPN simulcast. Round 2 (Thursday night, 8 pm ET): ESPN exclusive. Pre-draft analysis (NBA Mock Draft, ESPN Draft Special) runs in the 7 pm hour leading into the first pick.

Both ABC and ESPN are in the SDZ standard lineup. Pre-draft and post-draft shows on ESPN+ may require the separate ESPN+ subscription, but the live draft broadcast on the linear ESPN/ABC feed is fully covered.

What to expect from the broadcast

Adam Silver opens the draft. The first pick is announced ~8:10 pm ET. Each pick has a 5-minute window. Round 1 (30 picks) typically runs ~3 hours. Coverage includes highlight reels of each prospect, ESPN analyst breakdowns (Bilas, Woj, Lowe), and team-by-team reaction.

For draft-night tracking, fans typically watch the broadcast plus follow Twitter/X for trade rumors and Woj/Shams scoops. SDZ’s six-device limit lets you put the draft on the TV and live-tweet from your phone in parallel.

Why pay $39.95 for one event?

SDZ is month-to-month. Pay $39.95 for draft month, cancel after Round 2. You also get the entire previous month of NBA games (the Finals run typically wraps mid-June, draft is late June). So that single $39.95 covers playoffs+Finals+Draft in one billing cycle.

Slam Dunk Zone delivers the same broadcaster feeds you get on cable — ESPN, ESPN2, TNT, TBS, ABC, NBA TV, the regional sports networks for every market — for $39.95/mo. No 12-month contract, no $99 install fee, no $30/mo DVR rental, no $150 cable bill at the end of the month. Six simultaneous device streams mean dad watches the Lakers in the living room while the kids watch a different game in the bedroom and you check the Knicks score on your phone in the kitchen — one membership, three rooms, zero arguments.

The lineup is over 5,000 HD channels: every major U.S. broadcaster, premium movie networks, international sports, news in eight languages, and a 7-day catch-up window if you missed tip-off. AccuViewTV has been doing IPTV since 2018; the infrastructure is mature and the support team answers in chat in under 90 seconds.

The 5,000+ channel guide loads instantly with category filters (Sports US, Sports International, News, Movies, Kids), a search box, and a 7-day EPG so you can see what’s on later tonight or earlier today. Credentials work on six devices simultaneously out of the box; no per-device activation, no MAC-address binding. Cancel anytime from the member portal — no phone-tree retention department to escape from.

Beyond the draft: free agency + Summer League

Right after the draft (early July), NBA free agency opens. ESPN runs continuous free-agency coverage with breaking-news flashes. Then NBA Summer League runs mid-July in Las Vegas, with games on ESPN, ESPN2, and NBA TV. SDZ covers all three broadcasters, so the offseason content (free agency rumors, summer league rookie debuts, trade analysis) is in the same membership.
